I doubt it was just one kind of 'DEW"
It was a combo of things, high-powered portable lasers probably ran from "Trucks" using turret system on top that could have easily pentetrated a auto body and hit the gas tank and explains what you see with a lonely car burnt to the ground.
Of course the wires on the ground and aluminum-poweder on the ground ignited by microwave RF transmitters from over-head airplanes and/or weather balloons ( stationary high-alt ) is all MIL stuff;
They obviously had dozens of ignition sources all going on at the same time
Portable lasers that burn LPG tanks, google "3LB cokecan chinese lasers 1 Mega-Watt) that can be shot using a rifle-platform or from drone, weather-balloon, copter, or air-plane;
The Microwave RF high-power can be done from a large-platform aircraft, but also from trucks on the mountains over-looking Lahaina.
