I'm from India and we have more dense forest, higher temperature and lower humidity in the world because we are in the freaking EQUATOR, in my 45 years of living in india, I have never ever like in EVER seen a Wild Fire that happen SO OFTEN in America that its INSANE.
I cannot for the life of me wrap this with any sort of data, science or spiritual or mystic or karma to say its natural. IT IS NOT.

While it is an interesting hypothesis,however, I am skeptical about DEW. I have seen, with highly experienced fire inspectors, first hand fire damage, and deduced the causes of many fires. Majority are simple failings. Electrical appliances, stoves, left on, cigarettes, etc, carelessness, and of course, occasionally, arson.
Has anyone visited Lahaina? I have, many times, and it is heartrending to see the loss of life, and the destruction of the community.
There is the main village, built out of wood in the late 1800's to the 1920's for the core of the commercial district, and most of the rest of the old town that was devastated was of similar construction. Very dry wood construction everywhere, with none, or very little in the way of fire retardant materials anywhere, except for tin/aluminum roofing, that because of the style of many of the buildings, is of little use other than keeping the rain off. Typical of the tropics, many of the older buildings/houses were on raised posts, so air can flow under the houses. No, or little fire separations in the main business district at all.
One does not need a forest to create a firestorm such as happened in Lahaina, just sparks distributed with the extremely high winds from such as grass fires.
The fires in California were bad, but has anyone looked at Australian bush fires? They are hellish, just like what occurred in Lahaina. Once started, they create their own firestorms. The fires crown trees, race across grasslands with frightening speed, and any dry wooden buildings go up in flames like kindling. Many of the trees, while singed, are left standing., and recover quickly.
With 60-80mph winds, all it needed was a spark, wherever it was from, and a devastating firestorm was created, and devastation and death resulted.
I lived in Lahaina '88-'93. My place of work at that time was leveled by the fire, gone.
So many of the commercial and residential buildings were built of wood years ago.
Pioneer Inn, Baldwin House, library next to the port, all constructed from wood as were the restaurants and bars along Front Street. The high winds created the inferno effect.

I had noticed the lack of a tree forest needed to create an inferno and seems that in-town trees may have survived. On the other hand, except for newer hotels all the buildings are made of wood. Perhaps like a prairie fire as former pineapple plantations are now overgrown with weed grasses.

Yes it's possible that some kind of energy weapon might have been used, but it's not really necessary either. Keep in mind that every time you mention something like DEWs there are people who immediately dismiss you. Also consider, you don't really need energy weapons to burn some place down. While that might make it more strategic, and harder to track, it's not *entirely* necessary.

It is common for trees to remain and houses burn in a quick sweeping fire. Just do a search on "why do sometimes trees remain and houses burn". The Camp Fire in Paradise, CA, saw this same type of destruction after a fire started and quickly spread due to dry conditions and wind. For centuries before these areas were populated massive fires were common and some trees and plants need a fire to germinate, such as the Sequoia. Wildfires are nothing new.
