The only true God is the Father. Jesus is a man according to Paul his apostle even after his death and resurrection to the right hand of his Father, Almighty God. The epistle to Timothy was written after Jesus’ physical body died, was resurrected and ascended so no one can say Paul meant he was only a man in his human nature. Jesus is a high priest of the order of Melchizedek even in heaven right now. Why give such a title to the almighty God himself? Jesus only ever claimed to be the son of God, not God the Son. Jesus said he can do nothing by himself without the power from his Father. He says the words he says aren’t even his but belong to the one who sent him, the Father, Jesus’ and our God.
